Some employers require a job application form to be completed as opposed to, or in addition to, sending a CV and cover letter. This can be beneficial as the employer will ask for the specific information they are looking for, but as all candidates’ forms will look the same it is important that the content of your application form makes you stand out above the rest.

We offer both a proofreading and copy editing service for your Job Application Forms.

If you opt for the proofreading service, we will comb through your job application form thoroughly and correct any errors in spelling, grammar or punctuation. This option is most suitable where the job application form does not contain any large sections of text, such as a ‘personal statement’ or ‘additional information’ section, or where you want the content to remain largely unchanged.

If you opt for the copy editing service, in addition to proofreading we will ensure that the content is appropriate and of a high standard. Where there are sections of text, we may restructure, alter the format or suggest certain parts of the text are removed or rewritten. We may also suggest changes to the text where we feel they are necessary to improve its tone and fully achieve its intended impact. For a small additional cost we can offer a ‘final edit’ service, where you can send your job application form back to us after making the suggested amendments for a final check.

We specialise in working with entry and graduate level clients and for these services we aim to have your job application form edited and returned to you within 3 days. For more technical or specialised services this may be longer. We will provide you with a specific timeframe upon enquiry, and a final deadline will be agreed in writing prior to payment. We may also be able to offer an express service if you need your job application form editing quickly.
